The Corrupt Nature of Ghana Police Revealed

One night, as you walk home from work, feeling tired and a little bit drank, a car nearly hit you while on the pedestrian walk. You shouted and questioned the questioned the Driver why such reckless driving. The car stopped and one guy together with the driver came and beat you up till your clothes turned bloody wet. As you retaliated the attack, you ran into breaking a window glass of the car.

The next morning, you reported the case to the Police. The driver on the other hand took no legal action. He rather went to you family, without your permission, and requested money from them to repair his car. The money was paid and the car was repaired.

Since you reported the case to the police, the driver was summoned, not arrested, and was questioned about the incident.

Four days has passed since you reported the case to the police and finally, both you and the driver were to be taken to the Police Commander. The CID and the driver took the same car (the driver's) while you were made to take a different one.

At the Commander's, upon further questioning, you were charged (with destruction of property) and put in cell while the driver was set free.

After spending a couple of hours in the cell, you were bailed. You then insisted that The case wasn't fair and that it needs to be forwarded to the court of law for justice to be made but the police rejected your proposal and refused to forward the case to the law court.

Feeling cheated and disappointed , you went home in sadness and that was the end of the story.

Now the question here is... How do you see this issue as a citizen? Was fairness made? Why do you think the police refused to forward the case to the court; and is that good of them?

Please leave your answers in the comments let the government realize how we the citizens feel.

PEACE
